Job summary

Fintelligent, LLC seeks a Virtual Accountant to own the foundational financial data layer for a portfolio of professional services businesses. You will reconcile accounts, validate data, and ensure timely, trustworthy month-end close.

Your work will directly impact analysts and CFOs and help founders achieve profitability from clean numbers. You will onboard to our stack, manage monthly close cycles, and communicate proactively with clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing transactional accounting for multiple clients in outsourced/accounting settings.
• Comfortable talking with founders and business owners about their numbers.
• Fluent in QuickBooks Online, including bank feeds, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Hit monthly close deadlines in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Tech-savvy and knowledgeable about AI; actively using it to improve work quality.
• Self-starter with ownership on a small team and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations across assigned client portfolio.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on schedule.
• Record payroll journal entries and support revenue recognition entries as directed.
• Execute month-end close procedures with complete schedules and documentation.
• Maintain clean, vouchable audit trails for all transactions.
• Communicate daily with founders and client contacts to gather information and resolve items.
