Job summary

ABB Inc. is hiring a Remote VFD Support Specialist for the United States. You will provide expert technical support for Low Voltage VFDs, assist with programming and integration, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues.

The role requires a strong understanding of VFDs and electrical principles, plus excellent English communication. You will document cases in Salesforce and stay current with industry trends, reporting to the Technical Support Team Lead.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant Electrical/Technical experience or equivalent.
Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work (REQUIRED).
Understanding of electrical principles and troubleshooting drives.
Ability to communicate in English, written and spoken.
Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support via phone and email for VFD applications.
Assist customers with drive programming, configuration, and integration with control systems.
Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve issues.
Collaborate with warranty team to initiate warranty replacements and labor authorization.
Maintain detailed documentation of support cases using Salesforce Case Management.
Stay current with VFD technologies and industry trends.
