Job summary

ABB is seeking a motivated VFD Support Specialist to join our Motion Drive Products team. This remote US role provides technical support to ABB customers, field techs, and internal teams on Low Voltage VFDs, 3-phase power, and connectivity.

You will troubleshoot, configure parameters, document cases in Salesforce, and stay current with VFD tech. A relevant electrical background and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with relevant electrical/technical experience.
• Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work is required.
• Ability to troubleshoot drives using electrical principles and documentation.
• Strong English communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone and email for VFD applications and commissioning.
• Assist customers with drive programming, configuration, and integration with control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, service, sales, and product teams to resolve issues.
• Coordinate warranty replacements and labor authorization with the warranty team.
• Document support cases and solutions using Salesforce Case Management.
