ABB Inc. is a remote-based VFD Support Specialist role in the Motion Drive Products division for the United States.

You will provide technical support by phone and email, assist with drive programming, and collaborate with engineering, field service, and sales teams to resolve complex issues. The role requires a technical background in variable frequency drives, strong English communication, and work authorization to operate in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years electrical/technical experience or equivalent.
• REQUIRED: knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and troubleshooting.
• English communication, verbal and written; computer-literate.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone and email for VFDs.
• Assist customers with drive programming, parameter configuration, and control systems integration.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with the warranty team to initiate replacements and labor authorizations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of support cases and best practices using Salesforce Case Management.
• Stay current with VFD technologies, software updates, and industry trends.
