Job summary

The Bowen Group is hiring experienced online call center customer service representatives to support the Veterans Experience Office at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

This is a 100% virtual role with travel to VA facilities for training and equipment pickup; you must live within 60 minutes of listed facilities. Compensation is $17.75 per hour, with 11 paid holidays and benefits including medical, dental, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• MUST have six (6) months of consecutive call center or contact center experience.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with the military and veteran community programs is a plus.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card Holder having lived in the USA for three years prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Learn, understand and explain VA services and procedures.
• Ask clarifying questions to identify complex VA service requests.
• Accurately record details of calls and service requests in CRM systems.
• Select appropriate VA services to meet Veterans’ needs.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with VA employees and the public.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of callers.
