Merck is seeking a Vaccine Customer Representative to support healthcare providers with clinical vaccine information, education, and resources. The VCR will help with reimbursement details and contract adherence to boost immunization rates in the assigned territory.

The role involves regular engagement with clinics, hospitals, and health systems and collaboration with a regional field team. The position requires strong communication skills, healthcare knowledge, and the ability to analyze data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years sales experience OR high school diploma with at least 6 years of equivalent experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust with customers and demonstrate value in selling situations.
• Ability to segment customer population and allocate resources to drive execution of plans.
• Ability to understand customer business climate and develop territory plans to drive results.
• Strong ability to convey technical concepts clearly and drive metrics.

Responsibilities

• Engage Health Care Providers and professionals with balanced vaccine product presentations aligned to labeling and guidelines.
• Provide vaccine management updates to help improve patient outcomes and contract performance.
• Stay informed on clinical and marketplace knowledge through self-study and events.
• Use data to drive quarterly business reviews and optimize contract performance across the portfolio.
• Support immunization rate improvements through education and tools such as Vaccine IQ.
• Monitor business performance against objectives using company tools.
• Develop territory-level plans to improve immunization rates while adhering to policies and ethics.
• Maintain knowledge of the vaccine portfolio and CDC immunization schedules.
