Job summary

Merck in the United States is seeking a Vaccine Customer Representative to engage health care providers and health care business professionals, delivering clinical information and education on vaccines while supporting reimbursement and contract adherence. The VCR acts as the primary contact within their geography, building relationships with clinics, hospitals, and integrated delivery systems.

Travel is required to cover assigned accounts; this role requires a Bachelor’s or equivalent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 0–3 years sales experience.
• High school diploma with 4+ years relevant work experience in sales/marketing/healthcare.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Engage in balanced product sales presentations to align customer needs and vaccine attributes.
• Provide updates on customer needs to improve patient outcomes, contract adherence and quality goals.
• Share insights from professional knowledge through self-study, workshops, and review of promotional materials.
• Use analytics to engage customers in quarterly business reviews on vaccine contracts.
• Educate customers to improve immunization rates through quality-based programs.
• Monitor business performance using company tools.
• Develop territory-level business plans to improve immunization rates.
• Maintain knowledge of the vaccine portfolio and CDC immunization schedule.
• Act as primary contact for select accounts and coordinate with the customer team to outline strategy.
