This role focuses on disseminating general information about VA education benefits and veteran services and assisting veterans in understanding how to access official VA resources.

The position is remote with occasional local veteran outreach events in Bakersfield, CA.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for the VA Work-Study Allowance Program.
• Enrolled at ¾ training time or greater.
• Professional and reliable.
• Able to work independently in a remote setting.
• Local to Bakersfield area for occasional outreach events.
• Familiar with social media.

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish informational content explaining VA education benefits and veteran services for social media
• Respond to general veteran inquiries by providing resource links and referral guidance
• Assist in preparation and support of veteran outreach events
• Track engagement metrics and document frequently asked veteran questions
• Perform administrative tasks directly related to veteran benefits outreach
