Job summary

Eat on the Power Solutions team is seeking an Application Engineer for a fully remote role requiring up to 10% travel. You will interpret project specs, develop technical solutions, and assist Sales with UPS system proposals and Bills of Material for equipment-only and turnkey Critical Power projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years experience in electrical contractor estimating / proposal writing, application engineering, UPS systems.
• Associate’s degree and 3+ years experience in electrical contractor estimating / proposal writing, UPS systems.
• 5+ years experience in electrical contractor estimating / proposal writing in lieu of a degree.
• Candidate must reside within Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, or Massachusetts.
• Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record as per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project specifications and drawings to develop technical solutions; assist Sales with UPS system proposals and Bills of Materials.
• Lead development of proposals, cost estimates, pricing schedules, and milestone billing plans for projects up to $2M; collaborate with multiple teams.
• Serve as primary technical liaison with customers, UPS manufacturers, Sales and Project Operations; conduct site visits as needed (up to 10% travel).
• Review orders and project docs for accuracy; coordinate handoffs and prepare submittals and order summaries.
