Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Consultant to support data analysis, planning, optimization, and execution of transportation operations across the supply chain. You will focus on efficient movement between distribution centers, warehouses, and end customers, driving improvements in service, cost, and performance.

You will leverage data analysis, TMS, and BI tools to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement solutions that enhance customer service and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred.
• Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, with focus on dedicated fleet operations or carrier management.
• Experience in project management with complex timelines and budgets.
• Excellent analytical skills with large datasets; ability to derive actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transportation network data to identify cost reductions and service improvements; develop dashboards and reports.
• Lead transportation-related projects from concept to completion within scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Serve as liaison between internal teams and external 3PL carriers to align strategies.
• Develop, monitor, and analyze KPIs to assess fleet performance and trends.
• Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and process improvements in transportation operations.
• Proactively solve complex transportation challenges using data-driven approaches.
