Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Consultant to support data analysis, planning, and optimization of transportation operations across the supply chain. You will drive cost, service, and efficiency improvements by leveraging data, TMS, and industry best practices.

The role collaborates with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and 3PL providers to implement strategic initiatives and deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred.
• PMP or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
• 4+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management with focus on fleet operations or carrier management.
• Proven experience in project management with complex timelines and budgets.
• Strong analytical skills with large datasets and ability to derive actionable insights.
• Experience with Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Travel 10-15%.

Responsibilities

• Transportation network data analytics and reporting to identify cost reductions and service improvements.
• Lead and manage transportation-related projects from conception to completion.
• Act as liaison between internal teams and external 3PL carriers.
• Develop, monitor, and analyze KPIs to assess fleet performance and trends.
• Manage project budgets and timelines.
• Identify opportunities for process standardization in transportation operations.
• Proactively solve transportation challenges.
