Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Consultant to support data analysis, planning, optimization, and execution of transportation operations across the supply chain. You will move materials and finished products efficiently between DCs, warehouses, and customers, driving service improvements and cost reductions.

Leverage TMS and BI tools to identify opportunities, partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and 3PLs, and influence decisions with data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• PMP or Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred.
• 4+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management with focus on fleet operations or carrier management.
• Proven project management experience with complex timelines and budgets.
• Strong analytical skills with large datasets and data-driven insights.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Transportation network data analytics and reporting to identify cost reductions and service improvements.
• Lead transportation-related projects from conception to completion within scope, time, and budget.
• Serve as liaison between internal teams and external 3PL carriers.
• Develop, monitor, and analyze KPIs for fleet performance and trends.
• Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Identify opportunities for process standardization across transportation operations.
• Proactively resolve complex transportation challenges using data-driven methods.
