Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Market Leader/Senior Project Manager- Transportation to drive growth across the Mountain West and Desert Southwest regions. You will own regional market dynamics, lead major projects, and influence client relationships and business development efforts.

The role requires a strong background in transportation planning/engineering and a proven ability to close opportunities while maintaining a high standard of service and industry reputation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, with a PE a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development and/or consulting in the transportation industry.
• Experience in transportation planning, engineering, design, consulting, construction, and/or project management.
• CRM software experience with D365 CRM, Salesforce, and Power BI is desired.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Responsibilities

• Own the Mountain West/Desert Southwest market and support Ulteig’s national Transportation strategy.
• Develop and apply regional market dynamics understanding, client needs, and competitive landscape.
• Lead high-profile projects in the region with a target billability of ~10% annually.
• Communicate with excellence across proposals, emails, and other mediums.
• Listen to client and internal team needs, build consensus, and lead with influence.
• Provide oversight and support to Client Team Leads and project managers on client relationships.
• Build Ulteig’s reputation with clients, partners, and subconsultants through collaboration.
• Maintain active presence in regional boards, committees, and speaking engagements.
• Cultivate diverse, high-value relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
• Understand Ulteig’s capabilities and identify growth opportunities across service lines.
• Close opportunities and support delivery excellence for projects.
