Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. seeks a strategic Market Leader/Senior Project Manager- Transportation to lead the Mountain West/Desert Southwest market and advance Ulteig's transportation capabilities. This role reports to the Transportation Market Director and may sit in Denver or other Mountain West locations.

You will drive client engagement, manage high-profile projects, and build a robust pipeline while collaborating with CTLs and technical teams. A PE is preferred and travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; PE a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in business development or consulting in transportation.
• Experience in transportation planning, engineering, design, consulting, construction, and/or project management.
• Deep understanding of Mountain West/Desert Southwest market; existing relationships preferred.
• Proven ability to build a pipeline and close high-value opportunities.
• CRM experience with D365 CRM, Salesforce, and Power BI is desired.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own the Mountain West/Desert Southwest market in support of Ulteig's national Transportation strategy.
• Develop and leverage regional market dynamics, client needs, competitive landscape, and policy.
• Lead high-profile projects as PM or PIC with ~10% annual billability.
• Communicate with excellence across proposals, emails, and reports.
• Listen to client needs and guide teams; build consensus and influence.
• Provide oversight to CTLs, PMs, and teams on client relationships and business development.
• Collaborate to nurture Ulteig's reputation with clients, partners and subconsultants.
• Engage in regional boards/committees and speaking engagements to build visibility.
• Identify short/mid/long-term opportunities across transportation service lines.
• Close opportunities and ensure delivery excellence on resulting work.
• Manage data, budgeting for BD initiatives, and promote connectivity and culture.
