Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Market Leader/Senior Project Manager- Transportation to drive regional growth in the Mountain West and Desert Southwest. You will own market strategy and lead high-profile projects, aligning client needs with Ulteig capabilities.

Develop deep regional market insights, differentiate in a competitive landscape, and maintain active industry presence. Travel up to 50% and contribute to a dynamic, collaborative culture that values client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (PE a plus).
• 8+ years in business development or consulting in transportation.
• Experience in transportation planning, engineering, design, or PM.
• Knowledge of Mountain West/Desert Southwest market with client relationships preferred.
• Pipeline development and closing high-value business experience.
• CRM experience with D365, Salesforce, Power BI desired.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
• Willing to travel up to 50% within specified regions.

Responsibilities

• Own the Mountain West/Desert Southwest market and align with national strategy.
• Develop regional market insights including client needs and competition.
• Lead high-profile projects with approx. 10% annual billability.
• Communicate excellently across proposals and emails.
• Listen to client and team needs; build consensus and influence.
• Provide oversight to CTLs and project managers on client relations and BD.
• Build Ulteig's reputation with clients and partners and subconsultants.
• Engage in boards, speaking engagements, and industry visibility.
• Identify opportunities across transportation service lines.
• Close opportunities and ensure delivery quality.
• Maintain client data, budget BD initiatives, and cultural activities.
