Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Market Leader/Senior Project Manager- Transportation to drive strategic growth in the Mountain West and Desert Southwest regions.

The role involves leading regional projects, managing client relationships, and aligning with Ulteig’s national Transportation strategy. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in transportation consulting and a strong pipeline development mindset, with willingness to travel up to 50% and a PE preferred.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in business development and/or consulting in transportation required.
• Experience in transportation planning, engineering, design, consulting, construction, and/or project management.
• Deep understanding of Mountain West and/or Desert Southwest transportation markets preferred.
• Ability to build a strong pipeline of opportunities and close high-value business.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the Mountain West and Desert Southwest regions.

Responsibilities

• Own the Mountain West/Desert Southwest market in support of Ulteig's national Transportation strategy.
• Develop deep knowledge of regional market dynamics and client needs.
• Lead high-profile regional projects with a target billability of ~10% annually.
• Communicate clearly across proposals, emails, and meetings.
• Provide oversight to CTLs, PMs, and technical teams on client relationships and business development.
