Job summary
Utility Lines Construction Services (ULCS) seeks a Transmission Line Estimator to own the estimating process from opportunity evaluation through bid submission for transmission line, substation, and utility infrastructure projects. You will partner with Operations and Executive Leadership to shape pursuit strategy and develop executable, profitable bids.
This remote role prefers candidates in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, with broader US consideration.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of transmission line construction estimating experience.
- Experience with 69kV–500kV+ transmission projects.
- Proficient with HCSS HeavyBid or Bid2Win; advanced Excel and SmartSheet.
- Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering; PMP, CCP or PSP a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own the estimating process from opportunity evaluation through bid submission.
- Develop detailed labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and production estimates.
- Analyze drawings, specs, contracts, and bid documents to identify scope and risks.
- Collaborate with operations, project management, and leadership to craft bids.
- Support turnover, change orders, forecasting, and profitability initiatives.
