Utility Lines Construction Services (ULCS) is hiring a Transmission Line Estimator for a fully remote role. You will own the bid process for transmission, substation, and infrastructure projects, building comprehensive labor, material, and subcontractor estimates.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in high‑voltage transmission estimating, strong Excel/SmartSheet skills, and the ability to translate drawings and specs into executable plans while coordinating with operations and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of transmission line construction estimating experience.
• Experience with high‑voltage transmission projects (69kV–500kV+).
• Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid or Bid2Win and advanced spreadsheet skills.
• Ability to develop quantity takeoffs from plans and specs.
• Experience with scope risk evaluation and execution‑focused estimating.

Responsabilités

• Own the estimating process from opportunity evaluation to bid submission for transmission, substation, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and production estimates.
• Analyze drawings, specs, contracts, and bid documents to identify scope and risk.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership to craft competitive strategies.
• Support site visits, pre-bid reviews, and client meetings to improve estimates.
