Job summary
Utility Lines Construction Services (ULCS) is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Estimator to lead estimates for complex transmission, substation, and storm-restoration projects. You will advise Operations Leadership, shape pursuit strategy, evaluate risk, and develop execution plans to win and deliver major programs.
This remote role requires deep understanding of transmission methods, labor planning, equipment utilization, and constructability reviews, with preferred candidates in AR/LA/MS/TX
Qualifications
- 7+ years of transmission line estimating experience on high-voltage projects (69kV–500kV+).
- Proven success leading estimates for major transmission EPC projects and utility programs.
- Experience with investor-owned utilities, MSAs, storm restoration, and emergency responses.
- Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills across all levels.
Responsibilities
- Lead estimating efforts for large transmission, substation, storm restoration, and utility projects from opportunity through bid submission.
- Develop and review labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and production estimates using HCSS HeavyBid/B2W.
- Partner with Operations and Leadership to craft bid strategies, evaluate risk, and execute plans.
- Review drawings, contracts, and specs to identify risks, scope gaps, and pricing opportunities.
- Provide mentorship to the estimating team and drive process improvements across estimating procedures.
