Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services (ULCS) is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Estimator to lead estimating for high-voltage transmission, substation, and storm restoration projects. Remote work is available; preference for candidates in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, with US-wide consideration.

You will partner with Operations and Executive Leadership to shape bid strategy, evaluate risk, and develop execution plans that drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of transmission line construction estimating experience for high-voltage projects (69kV–500kV+).
• Experience leading estimates for transmission EPC projects and utility capital programs.
• Experience supporting investor-owned utilities, electric cooperatives, municipalities, EPC projects, MSAs, storm restoration, and emergency response.
• Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills with cross-level influence.
• Advanced Excel and Smartsheet proficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or related field.
• PMP, CCP, PSP, or related project controls/estimating certifications are a plus.
• Previous field experience as Journeyman Lineman, Foreman, Superintendent, Field Engineer, or Project Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating efforts for the largest and most complex transmission, substation, storm restoration, and utility infrastructure projects.
• Develop bid strategies, evaluate risk, and create executable project plans with Operations and Leadership.
• Review drawings, contracts, specs, and terms to identify risks, scope gaps, and pricing opportunities.
• Support client presentations, estimate reviews, and major proposal efforts.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to estimating teams and drive process improvements.
