SOLV Energy is seeking a Design Engineer II, Transmission to own the preliminary transmission line design for solar, BESS, and related interconnection projects. The role covers routing, conductor sizing, and design basis through 10% design, coordinating with estimators, BD, and external EORs.
The position is fully remote with travel up to 10% and requires 3+ years in transmission line design, proficiency with PLS tools, and strong collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.
Competenze
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or related engineering.
- “PE” licensure is nice-to-have, not mandatory.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in transmission line design or related power engineering.
- Proficiency in transmission line design software (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS).
- Strong understanding of routing, clearances, structures, and standards (NESC, IEEE).
- Willingness to travel up to 10% and work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- Preliminary transmission line design and technical ownership for projects.
- Coordinate technical inputs from multiple teams and consultants.
- Lead the 10% design development including routing and sizing.
- Support handoff to Preconstruction Engineering with complete documentation.
- Review estimates for technical completeness and align with project scope.
