Job summary
SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer II, Transmission to own the preliminary design for utility-scale solar, BESS, and interconnection projects. The role is fully remote, with location details discussed in the interview process.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or related engineering.
- 3+ years in transmission line design or related power engineering.
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE/PLS-TOWER and AutoCAD/MicroStation/GIS.
- Knowledge of NESC and IEEE standards.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
Responsibilities
- Own the first-pass preliminary transmission line design and basis.
- Coordinate with estimators to align design, route length, and schedule.
- Lead development of the 10% design and provide input for pricing.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to review requirements.
- Coordinate with EORs and subcontractors.
- Handoff to Preconstruction Engineering with necessary information.
