Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or related engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in transmission line design or related power engineering.
• Proficiency in transmission line design software (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS).
• Familiarity with NESC and IEEE standards and utility interconnection processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the first-pass preliminary transmission line design for projects, defining the design basis, route, interconnection requirements and risks.
• Coordinate with estimators, BD, and engineering teams to align scope, schedule, and costs.
• Support client meetings, reviews of exhibits, and handoffs to Preconstruction and HV engineering teams.
• Review and approve design deliverables for compliance with codes and owner standards.
