Job summary
SOLV Energy is seeking a Design Engineer II, Transmission to own the preliminary design lifecycle for solar, BESS, and interconnection projects. This fully remote role reports to the project team and collaborates with engineering, estimating, and procurement to define design basis, risks, and assumptions for the 10% design milestone.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or related engineering from an accredited institution.
Responsibilities
- Lead preliminary transmission line design and technical ownership for 10% design deliverables.
- Coordinate with estimating and scheduling to align design scope, route length, and kick-off deadlines.
- Engage with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors to resolve design risks and requirements outside SOLV standards.
- Prepare and issue proposals to EORs and consultants; ensure alignment with project scope and LNTP requirements.
- Handoff to Preconstruction Engineering with complete RFIs and design documentation.
