Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer II, Transmission for fully remote work in the United States.

The role owns the preliminary line design for solar, BESS, and related interconnections, coordinating inputs from engineering consultants and environmental teams to ensure a solid 10% design baseline. Responsibilities include routing, conductor sizing, and design refinements to support estimating and BD, plus leading internal/external reviews and handoffs to Preconstruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or related engineering from an accredited institution.
• PE licensure is a plus but not required.
• Minimum 3+ years in transmission line design or related power engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own preliminary transmission line design including routing, sizing, and 10% design deliverables.
• Coordinate with estimating, scheduling, and EOR/subcontractors to align scope and cost.
• Engage with clients and internal teams to discuss risks, requirements, and handoffs.
• Review proposals, ensure technical scope alignment, and support LNTP readiness.
• Mentor junior staff and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
