SOLV Energy is seeking a Design Engineer II, Transmission to own the preliminary line design and engineering lifecycle for solar, BESS, and interconnection projects. This fully remote role acts as the technical owner from kickoff through 10% design, coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders.

You will lead routing and structure sizing, align with estimating, and ensure compliance with standards, while mentoring junior staff and driving handoff readiness to the Preconstruction team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• PE licensure is a nice-to-have.
• Experience with transmission line design principles.

Responsabilités

• Own the first-pass preliminary transmission line and gen-tie design approach.
• Coordinate with estimating and scheduling for alignment of design, route length and quantities.
• Lead development of the 10% transmission line design for pricing support.
• Review client documents, interconnection agreements, and related project information.
• Communicate design decisions, risks, and required inputs to stakeholders.
• Handoff to Preconstruction Engineering with clear RFIs and comments.
