Job summary

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, delivering nationwide solar, storage, and high voltage substation projects. The Design Engineer II, Transmission, owns the initial transmission line design and engineering lifecycle for solar and BESS projects, acting as the technical owner from BD kickoff through 10% design handoff.

This role is fully remote with interview-discussed location expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or related engineering from an accredited institution is required.
• Minimum 3+ years of transmission line design or related power engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Own first-pass preliminary transmission line and gen-tie design for 10% design deliverable.
• Coordinate with estimators and BD to align design with schedule and scope.
• Engage with clients, attend meetings, and explain design assumptions and risks.
• Coordinate with EORs and subcontractors and align proposals with project scope.
