Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer II, Transmission to own the preliminary line design for utility-scale solar and related projects.

The role is fully remote with responsibilities spanning from BD kickoff through the 10% design and handoff to Preconstruction, coordinating inputs from engineering, environment, and land teams. You will guide routing, structure sizing, and interconnection assumptions while ensuring compliance with NESC/IEEE standards, and you will work with estimators,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or related engineering.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in transmission line design or related power engineering.
• Familiarity with NESC, IEEE, interconnection requirements, and route considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own the preliminary transmission line design and technical ownership for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with estimating, scheduling, and stakeholders to align scope and schedule.
• Lead 10% design development, routing, conductor sizing, and pricing support.
• Ensure QA and compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
