Job summary

MTM Transit is seeking a Transit Manager in Michigan to lead drivers, dispatchers, and operations staff. The role focuses on safety, performance, and client satisfaction, with responsibility for policy updates and driver evaluations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in transit management, experience with para-transit or livery, and a strong background in training and compliance. The position offers weekday hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in transit management.
• Management experience in Para-Transit or livery preferred.
• Experience working with seniors or persons with disabilities.
• Experience supervising hourly personnel in a passenger transportation environment.
• Experience training in a classroom and behind the wheel setting.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Drivers, Dispatchers, and operations staff to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Lead monthly Safety meetings.
• Train and update policies and safety guidelines.
• Conduct Driver evaluations per contract and ADA, DOT, and FTA requirements.
• Maintain regular communications with client for updates and system upgrades as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Monitor direct reports and provide coaching.
