Job summary

MTM Transit in Livermore, CA seeks a General Manager to lead operations across MTM Transit, ensuring compliant, cost-efficient transportation services. You will collaborate with operations and client teams, oversee contracts, and drive performance while maintaining a strong safety culture.

The role requires 5–7 years of leadership in a multi-million contract environment, site leadership for 50+ staff, and knowledge of ADA/DOT/FTA regulations. A CDL B with P endorsement is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 5–7 years of leadership experience managing a medium-sized operations team in a multi-million contract environment
• Experience managing a site of 50+ employees
• Experience in Para-Transit or livery industries preferred
• Contract or project management experience preferred
• Experience monitoring delivery of contractual services
• CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsements preferred

Responsibilities

• Contract oversight and facilitation of client needs with anticipation of growth
• Identify potential risk and develop resolution processes
• Analyze program needs and productivity and adjust staffing and resources for cost efficiency
• Develop or oversee documentation or work plans as required
• Employee training and development
• Understand MTM Transit policies and contract requirements
• Liaise between MTM Transit and client to address concerns promptly
• Develop and present annual plan reviews
• Educate client about MTM Transit procedures and services
• Maintain a strong Safety First attitude with client and personnel
• Understand local climate needs for passenger transportation
• Ensure smooth operations by understanding ridership policies
• Maintain employee and vehicle files per FTA and DOT guidelines
• Coach and guide direct reports
• Oversee Federal Drug and Alcohol program
• Perform additional duties as assigned
