Job summary

Transdev seeks an Operations Manager to act as the liaison between client and Transdev teams, supervising the Operations Supervisor, coaching drivers, and driving process improvements across shifts. The role ensures performance, safety, and adherence to procedures while coordinating with client leadership.

The position requires at least two years of supervisory experience, proficiency with reporting, and availability to travel up to 20% with a 24/7 on-call commitment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of service area and ability to read maps.
• Ability to generate reports and schedules on a computer.
• Ability to supervise others and make quality decisions in operations.
• Ability to read and interpret operating rules, policies, routes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Travel up to 20% of the time
• Must be on call 24/7
• Work flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays
• Must be 21 years of age
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activity of the Operations Supervisor to ensure efficient operation of the shift.
• Drive special projects and programs completion assigned by the General Manager.
• Attend meetings with the client to represent GM or other managers.
• Communicate clearly with management and client stakeholders.
• Support client operations leadership in dispatch management, meetings, and communications.
• Participate in Lean/Kaizen and other Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Interpret metrics, identify opportunities and implement actions to drive results.
• Ensure adherence to global process standards and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee driver safety evaluations and retraining; manage performance-based pay for subordinates.
• Coordinate, monitor and supervise subordinates; communicate issues to management.
• Ensure daily operation processes are conducted as planned (assignments, start of shift, debriefs).
• Respond to service problems and outages; assist in incident reporting and testing.
• Interact with and assist passengers as needed.
• Investigate unsafe locations and implement changes.
• Develop and schedule program work plans with client staff; determine priorities.
• Maintain routine records and perform clerical tasks related to operations.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Comply with disability laws and accommodation processes.
