Job summary

MTM Transit in California seeks a Transit Manager to oversee drivers, dispatchers, and operations staff, ensuring safe, efficient service across the Pomona Valley area. You will handle scheduling, performance, attendance and disciplinary actions while coordinating with the client.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in transit management, and experience with ADA/DOT/FTA rules. We offer comprehensive healthcare, retirement plan, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in transit management.
• Experience supervising hourly personnel in a passenger transportation environment.
• Experience training in classroom and behind the wheel settings.
• Experience with union environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Transit Drivers, Dispatchers, and operations staff performance for safe, efficient operation.
• Perform monthly Safety meetings.
• Train and update policies and safety guidelines.
• Conduct Driver evaluations per contract, ADA, DOT, and FTA requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with client and assist with updates and system upgrades.
