Job summary

MTM Transit is seeking a Manager of Operations in Austin, TX to lead and develop the operations team, including drivers, dispatchers, and maintenance staff. You will implement short- and long-term strategies to meet contractual requirements while ensuring safety and quality of service for passengers.

The role requires 4+ years in transit management, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a track record of customer-focused leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a related field.
• 4+ years of transit management experience in a large location.
• Experience with seniors or persons with disabilities.
• Experience supervising hourly personnel in passenger transport.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drivers, dispatchers and operations staff for safe, efficient performance.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings and drive training updates.
• Train and update policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Perform driver evaluations per contract and ADA/DOT/FTA requirements.
• Communicate with the client regularly to maintain a productive relationship.
• Take on additional duties as assigned or required.
• Monitor direct reports and provide coaching and guidance.
