Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Time Entry & Compliance Analyst to safeguard fee recoverability by ensuring time entries and invoices comply with client Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs). The role will work fully remote and collaborate with CRMs, billing specialists, and clients to strengthen billing accuracy and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years’ experience as a paralegal or attorney in insurance-related work or billing compliance, plus familiarity with Elite 3E and Laurel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a paralegal or attorney handling insurance related work; or experience on a billing compliance team in a law firm environment; or experience working as a bill auditor for an insurance company.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a law firm environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review daily time entries and pre-bills for designated clients, identify noncompliant entries, and recommend corrections to minimize audit exposure.
• Prepare and submit invoice appeals recovering fees and draft narratives grounded in client OCGs.
• Translate OCG requirements into actionable guidance for timekeepers and maintain client-specific time entry guides.
• Deliver targeted training to timekeepers and track audit trends for ongoing coaching.
• Collaborate with CRMs, billing and e-Billing teams on guideline changes and new requirements.
