Job summary

Ryder System is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish. You will decide when to dispatch internal technicians or third parties and resolve vehicle issues across Ryder lease or contract fleets.

The role requires strong maintenance knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate with customers during breakdowns to restore uptime efficiently.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Five+ years in Ryder Operations (shop) environment.
• Two+ years in Ryder operations with direct customer service exposure.
• Four+ years in transportation maintenance.
• Two+ years in technical diagnostic and customer resolution exposure.

Responsibilities

• Assess, troubleshoot and remedy vehicle roadside breakdowns with autonomy over cost and uptime.
• Assist with follow ups, escalations, and service provider interactions; provide analyses to improve breakdowns and warranty issues.
• Provide updated technical knowledge and training materials to the maintenance team.
• Mentor the Tier 1 call center team and participate in meetings and training.
