Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in the United States seeks a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish, deciding whether to dispatch internal technicians or third parties, and to resolve breakdowns on Ryder lease or contract vehicles.

Using deep maintenance knowledge, you will communicate with customers in breakdown situations, drive uptime, mentor Tier 1 staff, and provide updates to the maintenance team while staying current with OEM guidance

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Five+ years working in a Ryder Operations (shop) environment preferred.
• Two+ years in Ryder operations direct customer service exposure preferred.
• Four+ years in transportation maintenance required.
• Two+ years in technical diagnostic and customer resolution exposure required.
• Spanish language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, troubleshoot and remedy vehicle roadside breakdowns with full autonomy.
• Assist with follow ups, escalations and provider interactions with leadership.
• Provide updated technical knowledge and training materials to the team.
• Mentor Tier 1 call center staff and participate in meetings.
