Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish.

You will decide on internal technician calls or third‑party outsourcing, addressing technical issues across Ryder lease/contract vehicles and improving uptime and customer experience. The role requires strong maintenance knowledge and problem-solving, with responsibilities including mentoring Tier 1 staff, providing updates, and staying current on OEM information

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required.
ASE certifications preferred.
5+ years in Ryder operations (shop) environment.
2+ years in Ryder operations direct customer service exposure preferred.
4+ years in transportation maintenance required.

Responsibilities

Assess, troubleshoot and remedy vehicle roadside breakdowns with full autonomy over cost and uptime.
Coordinate follow-ups and service provider interactions with RCRC; provide periodic summaries to maintenance team.
Share updated technical knowledge and training materials with the team.
Mentor Tier 1 call center staff and participate in meetings and trainings.
