Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish.

This role authorizes whether to dispatch internal technicians or third parties, addressing vehicle reliability and uptime issues through expert diagnostic work and customer-facing problem solving. Key responsibilities include mentoring Tier 1 staff, providing technical knowledge updates, and coordinating with RCRC and leadership to improve OEM quality,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
ASE certifications preferred.
5+ years in Ryder operations (shop) environment recommended.
2+ years in Ryder operations customer service exposure preferred.
4+ years in transportation maintenance required.
2+ years in diagnostic and customer resolution related to Ryder fleet.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish.
Decide whether to dispatch internal technicians or third parties.
Resolve technical vehicle issues via phone with customers in breakdown situations.
Provide updates and training to Tier 1 call center and maintenance teams.
