Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish.

The role involves deciding when to dispatch internal technicians or third-party providers and resolving complex vehicle issues with OEM knowledge and diagnostic skills. The position supports a 2nd shift schedule (Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00pm–11:30pm EST) with hourly pay of $28.00, plus modest shift differentials.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical certification preferred – ASE certifications.
• Five years or more in Ryder operations/shop environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and resolve Tier 2 emergency roadside cases with autonomy over decisions on internal vs. third‑party callouts.
• Provide timely updates and analysis to maintenance teams; support OEM quality, warranty, and breakdown performance improvements.
• Mentor Tier 1 call center staff, share knowledge, and participate in trainings to maintain technical expertise.
