Nationwide is seeking a Territory Manager, Specialty Care Business Development, to drive growth for Commercial Lines Middle Market within Human Services and Nonprofit. This remote role requires travel to partner agencies in the Eastern Time Zone, with at least 25 visits per year.

Base salary ranges from $112,000 to $209,000, with starting salaries typically between $112,000 and $168,000. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, life insurance, disability coverage, PTO, holidays, 401(k) matching

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Seven years of underwriting and sales experience in commercial business preferred.
• Knowledge of middle-market underwriting, pricing and coverage.
• Ability to build and maintain cooperative and mutually rewarding internal and external partnerships.
• Demonstrated decision-making ability in day-to-day operations with competing priorities.
• Multi-line commercial insurance underwriting experience, including underwriting authority.
• Human Services and Nonprofit industry-specific experience.
• Specialty experience in Casualty lines, including General Liability, Professional Liability, and Abuse & Molestation.

Responsabilités

• Market, manage and underwrite commercial business with select agencies or brokers.
• Lead and influence agencies by creating sales strategies and implementing sales processes.
• Researches risk, environment and other factors to win the account.
• Analyzes quality and quantity of risks underwritten and prepares reports accordingly.
• Analyzes regional underwriting performance and proposes plans to resolve issues.
• Achieves production, profitability and service objectives.
• Quotes, prices and underwrites new and renewal policies for complex accounts.
• Monitors risk selection and pricing decisions for agency plant.
