Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Territory Manager, Specialty Care Business Development to market, manage and underwrite commercial risk for Human Services and Nonprofit accounts. This remote role supports agencies/brokers in the Eastern Time Zone with travel to agency partners at least 25 visits per year.

Qualifications

• Experience in multi-line commercial underwriting with underwriting authority.
• Industry experience in Human Services and Nonprofit accounts.
• Strong business development and agency management orientation.
• Minimum seven years underwriting and sales experience in commercial business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Market, manage and underwrite commercial business with select agencies or brokers.
• Drive profit and premium to meet financial goals through sales plans.
• Lead agencies with sales strategies and processes to win new business.
• Research risk, environment and factors to win accounts.
• Quotes, prices and underwrites complex or service-sensitive accounts.
• Monitor risk selection and pricing decisions for entire agency plant.
• Develop and execute agency business plans and pipeline management.
• Ensure customer service levels and proper handling of service requests.
