Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America is seeking a dynamic Territory Sales Manager – Specialty Urology to be the face of SMPA with customers across the territory. You will drive sales objectives, grow market share, and demonstrate clinical expertise in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires significant travel (60–80%), strong relationship skills, and a proven track record in pharmaceutical sales within Urology. A Bachelor’s degree and launch experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related area; 2+ years pharmaceutical sales experience.
• Proven track record of top-ranked sales performance (top 25% nationally).
• Experience working within Urology.
• Experience with pharmaceutical launches.
• Knowledge of formulary positioning and market access.

Responsibilities

• Establish deep, meaningful business relationships with customers based on clinical and market dynamics.
• Increase market share by closing new business in new and existing accounts with strong potential.
• Support sales results with clinical expertise and understanding of healthcare landscape; plan and act compliantly.
• Assess product/competitor trends and overall market dynamics to inform strategy.
• Collaborate with team members; communicate candidly and constructively.
• Travel throughout the territory; overnight stays may be required, including evenings and weekends.
