Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America (SMPA) is hiring a Territory Sales Manager – Specialty. The role focuses on achieving sales objectives, expanding market share, and building strong clinician relationships across a designated territory.

You will travel extensively (60–80%), with overnight stays as needed, to engage customers, analyze market dynamics, and drive product adoption in specialty areas such as oncology, urology, and CNS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience is required with a top-quartile track record.
• Experience in Urology and a pharma launch is preferred.
• Knowledge of market access formulary positioning (pull-through/push-through).

Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales objectives and grow market share in the assigned territory.
• Establish deep relationships with customers based on clinical and market dynamics.
• Travel 60–80% within the territory, with possible overnight stays.
• Analyze product/competitor trends and provide sales insights and strategies.
• Ensure compliance and manage administrative tasks like call reporting and territory business plans.
