Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Technical Flex Support Specialist to provide post-sales support for the Flex CAD solution. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, OS and network issues on Windows and Linux, configure devices, and assist customers to ensure high satisfaction.

This role requires strong customer service, ITIL-aligned practices, and flexibility for shift work and on-call rotations. A background clearance is required for government customers, and the position is remote.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in a dedicated technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software.
• Experience with networking concepts and protocols.
• IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional).
• Experience utilizing help desk ticketing systems (Zendesk, ServiceNow, Jira).
• Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Fluent with AI-enhanced productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first- and second-level technical support via phone, email, chat, and in person.
• Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, OS, networking, and apps.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain end-user devices.
• Install, configure, and support various software applications.
• Assist with network diagnostics and basic connectivity issues.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level teams.
• Adhere to ITIL or related IT service management practices.
• Maintain flexibility for shift work and on-call rotations.
