Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. seeks a Technical Editor to support our North America East Region with remote, hybrid, or office-based work across several states.

You will edit documents from engineers and scientists to ensure clarity, accuracy, and presentation, coordinating with a Senior Editor to uphold quality. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years editing experience, with strong MS Office and Adobe Acrobat skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, English, science, engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years editing experience in a business/engineering environment.
• Experience editing complex technical/environmental documents for clarity and accuracy.
• Strong formatting, grammar, and English language knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Organize, review, and edit technical, business, and marketing material per guidelines.
• Proofread for spelling, grammar, clarity, and formatting consistency.
• Review documents and suggest revisions to improve content and presentation.
• Recommend layouts, graphics, or charts to clarify objectives.
• Stay current on developments in technical writing and publishing.
