Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated tax professional for a virtual customer-facing role helping clients complete federal and state 1040 returns with TurboTax.

You will provide expert tax advice, full-service return preparation and product inquiries, using clear everyday language. Candidates should have strong communication skills, certified PTIN, and the ability to work 20+ hours weekly from a US residence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state individual 1040 tax returns for at least 30 clients per season using commercial tax software.
• Must possess or be able to obtain any related State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Must possess an active PTIN.
• Working knowledge of Circular 230.
• Willing to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Proficient with technology and computer software.
• Strong customer service skills with professional video/audio interaction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Must have (or be willing to obtain) a dedicated hardwired internet connection meeting Intuit Security criteria.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• Must reside in the United States.

Responsibilities

• This is a virtual, customer-facing role; you will use video communications software to interact with customers.
• Help TurboTax customers with tax returns: advice, full service return preparation and signature, product inquiries, tax calculations.
• Create high quality customer interactions with empathy and expertise in tax preparation.
• Utilize government websites and resources to deliver the right answer in everyday language.
• Apply defined practices and policies to troubleshoot and resolve inquiries.
• Document customer interactions.
• Work toward meeting company KPI metrics and Big Bet Goals.
• Participate in pilot testing, projects and validations.
• Complete required training and development as determined by the business.
