Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a motivated Tax Preparer to assist TurboTax customers with federal and state returns in a virtual setting. You will provide expert tax guidance, perform full service return preparation, and explain tax terms in everyday language.

Training, strong customer service, and reliability are essential. The role requires active PTIN, ability to work at least 20 hours weekly, and residing in the United States.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state individual 1040 tax returns for at least 30 clients per season using commercial tax prep software.
• Must possess or be able to obtain any related State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Must possess an active PTIN.
• Working knowledge of Circular 230.
• Willing and available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• This is a virtual, customer-facing role using video communications to interact with customers.
• Provide tax advice and full service return preparation with signature.
• Assist with product inquiries, tax calculations, and explanations of tax terms.
• Document customer interactions and work toward KPI metrics and Big Bet Goals.
• Participate in training and development as required by the business.
