Job summary

In this role you will lead a team of our world class Technical Account Managers (TAMs) serving our SMB merchants and guiding post-sale technical success from integration through expansion and scale.

You will work with Client Success, Product Management, Operations, and Merchant Care teams to establish OKRs, forecast TAM demand,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a b2b customer-facing technical role.
• 3+ years as a people manager.
• A strong technical background in web development technologies and REST APIs, with a CS degree or professional engineering experience.
• A great relationship builder who can quickly build rapport with engineering customers.
• A fantastic communicator, both for customers internally and affirm externally.
• Bonus: Experience providing solutions to e-commerce or in-store retailers.
• This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and develop an awesome group of experienced TAMs who support our SMB merchants.
• Work closely with Client Success counterparts to help merchants grow, enabling a faster time to market and better use of affirm's product suite post-launch.
• Establish and track team OKRs and goals, and create proactive action plans for meeting them.
• Forecast demand for TAMs and recruit as necessary.
• Evaluate new hires on their technical capabilities, handle escalations, and provide guidance on integration solutions, troubleshooting and optimization opportunities.
• Be an internal advocate for merchants, working cross-functionally to ensure priorities are met.
