Job summary

Premera Blue Cross seeks a Systems Analyst II to analyze business functions, collaborate with IT, and drive automation to reduce manual work. You’ll support data analysis, testing, and backlog planning in a telecommuter role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two (2) years of business systems analysis experience, including requirements gathering, business process analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions.
• Experience in a software development environment utilizing Agile delivery practices, including Scrum and SAFe.
• Knowledge of project delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience using SQL for data analysis, data validation, troubleshooting, or reporting.
• Knowledge of healthcare or health insurance industry processes and systems.
• Experience with product development and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Confluence, and Product Plan.

Responsibilities

• Represent the business within an Agile delivery team; develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders; act as a liaison between business and IT for new system implementations, enhancements, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with partners to identify, refine, and document requirements as epics, features, user stories, use cases, and business rules.
• Apply business process analysis and cost-benefit analysis to evaluate solution options.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of Premera systems and business processes.
• Analyze and document current and future-state business processes to identify pain points and opportunities for efficiencies.
• Use system tools and data sources to perform data analysis, validate requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide solution recommendations.
• Support development of low-code and automation solutions to reduce manual work and improve processes.
• Perform data analysis to define data requirements, resolve conflicts, and support reporting and data-mapping activities.
• Support end users in preparing, documenting, and executing test scenarios; create test scripts and assist with UAT.
• Provide input on backlog priorities, dependencies, and sprint planning.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through analysis of processes and technology solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
