Job summary

Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Support Scientist I to provide expert scientific support for customers using Cytiva products in their discovery work. The role is remote with reporting to the Senior Manager, Scientific Support, located in Marlborough, MA.

You will handle pre- and post-sale technical inquiries, train customers, and help translate technical questions into potential sales opportunities. A life sciences degree and AKTA experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor level degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 3 years laboratory experience with Cytiva Life Sciences equipment for Chromatography (AKTA).
• Working knowledge of AKTA instrument, Unicorn software, chromatography resins and purification methods.
• Travel requirements: 5% travel to Marlborough, MA; Monthly local travel with regional colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-sale technical assistance via phone, webchat, and email.
• Participate in product training and maintain up-to-date knowledge of Cytiva products and support literature.
• Maintain accurate, complete information on customer inquiries and process them in an orderly manner.
• Deliver presentations/trainings remotely or in person to customers or colleagues; develop technical trainings and participate in field work.
• Identify opportunities to convert technical inquiries into sales possibilities.
